To the Upstate Community:
When we first founded For Our Children in 2004, our objective was clear: to partner
with the community to raise funds for the children of the Upstate, supporting
them in mind, body, and spirit. We began with the goal of raising $500,000. Through
an intense three-year campaign, we felt like we could help make a difference.
Thanks to key supporters and this generous community, we all have. Congratulations
and thank you!
Since our inception, For Our Children has raised more than $540,000 for the children
of the Upstate for 37 fine organizations dedicated to our children. Your donations
have meant so much. Since 2004, you have helped:
• provide services for abused and neglected children
• fund an annual summer camp for diabetic children
• recruit new foster families
• fund therapy programs for boys with mental and emotional disabilities
• fund programs to keep our kids safe
• offer education and therapy services to preschool children with disabilities
• create a garden for children in downtown Greenville
• provide tickets to productions and artistic opportunities for disadvantaged
children
• make an extremely sick child’s last wish come true
• enable children with limitations to play beyond their limitations
And so very much more.
As we conclude our three-year campaign for our children, we thank you deeply
for your support and your commitment to the children of our community.
Sincerely,
For Our Children
